  • Half a cucumber
  • One beetroot, cooked (liquid is also allowed in the smoothie)
  • Strawberries, about 150 grams (fresh or frozen)
  • Plant-based milk, about 200 ml

Admittedly: you have to love beetroot. Case of 'you hate it or you love it'. You can argue about taste, but not about the health benefits. The trendy superfoods that we see in stores today cannot be compared to beetroot in terms of price. Beetroot is a cheap superfood. The health benefits are in the betanin and betalain, which are strong antioxidants.

Are you curious about a smoothie without fruit sugar? In this smoothie you will find a striking combination of ingredients that you might not initially think of yourself. Yet this smoothie contains many healthy vitamins and good fats. In other words: top combination.


  • One avocado
  • A Bell Pepper
  • One third zucchini
  • Two stalks of celery
  • Water as desired
  • Extra: mix a pinch of turmeric into your smoothie for some extra flavor. Do you also add a small pinch of pepper? Then you ensure that the turmeric is absorbed 20x as much.

This smoothie without fruit sugars contains a lot of vitamin C. This piece of pepper alone contains three times as much vitamin C. The avocado in the smoothie makes your juice a bit creamier, so you don't need a banana at all.

To be fair, not everyone is a big fan of celery. Still, this addition is a smart choice. It contains a lot of potassium (good for your heart), calcium (good for your bones) and it converts beta-carotene into vitamin A. Vitamin A ensures strong resistance. This smoothie is a real vitamin bomb.

From this healthy smoothie with no fewer than three pieces of (green) fruit, you get many vitamins and your daily recommended amount of vegetables. Do you want to make your smoothie even healthier? Then provide a topping of some nuts or hemp seeds to complete it.


  • One half zucchini
  • Half a cucumber, unpeeled
  • Two full handfuls of spinach
  • Handful of cashew nuts (unroasted and unsalted)

Tip: add mint leaves to your smoothie to make your drink extra fresh.

The zucchini and cashew nuts provide a creamy structure to your smoothie. If the cucumber does not provide enough moisture to make the smoothie drinkable, add some extra water.
